The college closely revolves around the national development strategy, dedicates to enhancing the level of international education, fully leverages the advantages of industry-specific education, and actively carries out comprehensive international exchanges and cooperation. Up to now, it has established friendly cooperative relationships with more than twenty overseas universities and educational institutions, conducting multi-level and multi-field exchanges and cooperation with overseas partner institutions and enterprises in terms of cooperative education, overseas schooling, and faculty and student exchanges. The college has been recognized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education as a "vocational school with a high level of internationalization."
The "Vocational Education Going Global" policy has been effectively implemented. The college resolutely implements the national "Vocational Education Going Global" policy, jointly establishing the "Ban-Mo Institute" in Pakistan with the Third Construction Bureau International Engineering Company (Overseas Division) and the "Ban-Mo Institute" in Qatar with Changda Construction Group, having trained over 60 people in total.
The team of international teaching and research staff continues to grow. To build an international teaching and research team, the college actively implements the strategy of "going out and inviting in." In recent years, the college has sent some teachers and administrative staff to countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Korea, and the United States for inspection, visits, and further studies. Several teachers have gone to countries like South Korea and the UAE as visiting scholars or to teach. At the same time, the college has invited vocational education experts from Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, and other countries to hold more than ten lectures on campus.
The effectiveness of international talent training is significant. In terms of talent training, the college strives to improve its international level. It cooperates with South Korea's Woosong University, Jeonju University, and SAHMYOOK University to carry out three Sino-foreign cooperative education programs in architectural animation and model making, environmental art design, and architectural design, with more than 400 students enrolled. It actively assists students in studying abroad, traveling abroad, and exchanging, expanding the scale of student exchanges through various forms such as joint program development and consecutive bachelor-degree programs, with more than 60 students having studied abroad at foreign institutions such as Hongik University, Woosong University, and Sejong University.
Active participation in the "Belt and Road" international cooperation. The college actively participates in international cooperation projects, serving the national strategy of the "Belt and Road." It has successively undertaken several foreign aid training projects including the South Sudan civil engineering technology training class, the Samoa carpentry technology training class, and the developing countries' infrastructure connectivity cooperation seminar, training nearly a hundred people in total. It participated in the Ministry of Commerce's "Pakistan-China Vocational Technical College" aid project, assisting in formulating talent training programs for architecture engineering and architectural design specialties. It undertook the construction worker skill testing work for the China-Israel labor cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce, being designated by the China International Contractors Association as the "Shandong Provincial China-Israel Construction Labor Cooperation Skill Testing Center."
Continuous expansion of international development space. The college focuses on complementary advantages and resource sharing. As a member unit of organizations and alliances such as the Sino-German Vocational Education Alliance, Shandong Overseas Engineering Construction Development Alliance, and Shandong Province "Belt and Road" Vocational Education International Alliance, the college has built a rich network of international partners, providing solid support for the international development of the college.
The future goals for international development are clear. Next, the college will continue to seek new breakthroughs in areas such as Sino-foreign cooperative education, "Vocational Education Going Global," international student training, and faculty and student exchanges. It will continuously enhance the level of international education and further increase its international reputation and influence, making greater contributions to the development of the vocational education cause.
